WHITEINCH AND SCOTSTOUN HOUSING ASSOCIATION RE-INSPECTION REPORT
The Scottish Housing Regulator today published its re-inspection report on Whiteinch and Scotstoun Housing Association.
Following the re-inspection, the Regulator has awarded Whiteinch and Scotstoun Housing Association a ‘fair’ rating for its overall performance. The Regulator had awarded the Association a ‘poor’ grade for housing management in its previous inspection in July 2005.
The Regulator did the re-inspection in March 2008 to assess The Association’s progress against the improvement plan it put in place after the original inspection.
Michael Cameron, Head of Inspection at The Scottish Housing Regulator said:
“We welcome the improvement achieved by the Association over the last three years, particularly in a number of the areas of weakness we identified in our previous inspection. The Association still needs to improve further in some areas of its work, and we think it has the capacity to do this. We will ask the Association to agree an improvement plan with us.”
The Association’s Chairperson, Alan Henshelwood said:
“After discussions with the Regulator, the Association is accepting the Report and grade and will now agree an improvement plan with our inspection colleagues. At Whiteinch & Scotstoun we see this as consistent with our drive for continuous improvement.’’
