About this resource

The information in these pages is based on a review of health and safety legislation and literature for social landlords that was carried out in the first quarter of 2006. The purpose of the review was to make it easy for landlords to find the wide range of information and guidance about health and safety and risk management that is already available through the internet.

Each topic has a section on the relevant legislation, any approved codes of practice, guidance and articles. There are also a number of case studies setting out practical approaches to dealing with a range of risk assessment and health and safety matters.

The hyperlinks in this resource were updated in February 2008. However, The Scottish Housing Regulator has no control over material on other websites and it is possible that, over time some items may be moved or withdrawn.
