Glasgow Housing Association: Second Stage Transfer Stock Valuation Study by Mazars LLP

The Minister for Communities and Sport asked for our assessment of the issues raised in the Mazars LLP report. We reviewed all relevant material provided by Mazars LLP, and had access to information that was not available to it. We also met with Mazars LLP, representatives of the Glasgow and West of Scotland Forum and GHA to hear their views. We conclude that GHA’s approach to SST valuation represents a reasonable way to safeguard the interests of tenants who may choose to transfer, and those who may remain with GHA. But we have identified some areas for further exploration by GHA and the purchasing landlords, and would encourage these discussions to take place.
