In total during 2008/09 the Scottish Housing Regulator spent £10,000 on staff bonuses. The breakdown of this by pay band is:

• 1 payment at band B: £700;

• 3 payments at band C: £1,800; and

• 1 payment at senior civil service band 1: £7,500.

We awarded bonuses to some of our staff during 2008/09 because of their excellent or exceptional performances, in line with the Scottish Government’s pay policies.
