Project Profiles
We’re offering this web resource to help everyone involved in community regeneration to share ideas and experiences, get useful information and build networks of contacts in Scotland and beyond.
Our project profiles showcase effective community regeneration activity in Scotland and across the UK. Here, you can find out more about what works and what doesn’t in community regeneration as well as share ideas, problems and solutions.
The profiles offer an insight into the amazing range of action and approaches which organisations and individuals take to improve the quality of life for everyone in local communities. The profiles are of projects which work to:
• Tackle poverty & achieve financial inclusion
• Minimise health inequalities in deprived areas
• Provide training & employment opportunities
• Improve access to services in communities
• Improve the physical environment of deprived areas
• Engage with specific groups of people
• Improve community safety and reduce the fear of crime
• Engage effectively with the local community
• Increase partnership working between voluntary, statutory and private organisations in the community
Each profile explores the experiences gained as well as the lessons learned along the way. Every profile has contact details to enable you to contact and link with projects directly and benefit from their experience, learning and success.
All of the projects featured here have received endorsements from the people who have benefited from them.
If you would like your community project to be considered, please complete this form or contact the SCR.
The views expressed in the profiles are not necessarily shared by the Scottish
Centre for Regeneration, Communities Scotland or the Scottish Executive.
