In April 2004 the RTO Grant was launched to help registered tenant organisations carry out their own ideas for improving tenant participation in their area. Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 are available to registered groups.

We provide grants to registered tenant organisations to:

• help increase the amount of tenants involved in decisions about their homes and communities

• improve the ways that tenants are involved

Projects that we give grant for must be:

• a new idea or one that in not currently taking place in your area

• able to be used by other groups throughout Scotland

We are particularly keen to fund projects that aim to involve traditionally excluded groups such as black minority ethnic groups and individuals, gypsies/travellers, young people, people living in rural areas and tenants in supported housing.

Further details are provided in the registered tenant organisation grant information leaflet. The information leaflet is also available in Arabic, Bengali, Cantonese, Urdu and Mandarin.

If you would like to discuss a project that you think may be eligible for an RTO grant contact a member of the Tenant Participation Development Team.
