Develop a guide to continuous improvement in community regeneration
We are currently working in partnership with Quality Scotland to support a culture of continuous improvement across all regeneration organisations.
The first action of this partnership was to develop a guide to tools and standards that will help organisations working in regeneration to improve their performance and support their continuous improvement. The guide called ‘Promoting excellence in Scotland’s communities’ outlines a wide range of quality schemes and tools and will demonstrate the advantages to be gained by using them through practical case studies.
We recognise that it does not cover every one and therefore we see the document as one which will develop and grow over time. However we are keen to promote other performance improvement techniques not currently detailed in the guide, including:
• The standards for community engagement
• How good is our community learning and development (HGIOCLD)
If you are aware of any others please contact Jim Carruth on 0141 271 3736.
The guide was launched at the Tolbooth in Stirling on 28 June. The guide is available here or you can also request a CD Rom version by contacting the Centre on 0141 271 3736 or by emailing us.
