Learning in Regeneration
We have recently carried out work to develop a learners skills pack that is flexible enough to support the learning needs of everyone involved in community regeneration, irrespective of their role or background. It also encourages a commitment to learning from individuals and their organisations.
The ‘Learning in Regeneration Skills Pack’ was launched on 29 November at the Radisson Hotel in Glasgow. The pack can help you:
• Identify what skills you have and how to make the most of them;
• Find out what skills you need to be more effective;
• Understand more about learning; and
• Support others within your own organisation to develop their skills
It can support learners to deal with all the issues they face and to effectively help them through all stages of the learning cycle from initial identification of needs through to choice of learning method, transfer of learning to working practice, and evaluation.
It is for everyone involved, or who would like to get involved, in community regeneration whatever your role and the type of organisation you work with.
You might be a volunteer, a committee member, or a paid staff member in the public or voluntary. You might be involved in community planning, housing, health, employment, equalities, education, youth work, training or community safety, or working in many other areas of regeneration. If so, this pack is for you.
It can be download using the links below but it is a very large document and may take some time to download. We therefore recommend that you contact learndirect Scotland on 08456 000 111 for your free copy of the skills pack, and support in using it.
We have produced a guide to the Learning in Regeneration skills pack, which we hope will help navigate the pack and signpost you to the supports available.
