Creating a learning landscape –a skills framework for community regeneration
If regeneration is to be effective we need to ensure that those involved have the right skills for their roles. With this in mind we have developed a skills framework for community regeneration.
The framework has been created to be flexible enough to support and be relevant to everyone currently working within community regeneration. It does this by detailing the common skills that those involved in regeneration have identified as crucial in helping them be effective in a wide variety of roles and circumstances.
The skills framework identifies 22 skills in three distinct groups: process skills, practical skills and strategic skills. A detailed breakdown of the skills are available in the framework document.
The skills framework is the first project of its kind and has been developed following extensive research carried out by the Department of Urban Studies at the University of Glasgow. The full research report can be accessed here.
